The food was amazing. This was our second time there and it does not disappoint the servers are friendly and attentive. The chicken parmesan is excellent!

Everything about this place was so warm and welcoming and also very charming. Definitely as local as it gets and the food was absolutely amazing. The staff is very attentive and friendly, especially my waitress who I met along my journey. What a wonderful place and I'm definitely going to try to make it back there again if I'm in the area.

4 for dinner. Professional, prompt service. The Calamari Almondine was perfect. The potato soup very good. Chicken Parmesan excellent. The J's burger was very good. Enjoyed the egg roll appetizer. This is the place to get a great dining experience in Dayton.

Fine cusine & dining in Old Town Dayton. Reservations recommended. Wonderful delights grace the menu here! Get started with things like Fried Brussel Sprouts served with pancetta, balsamic glaze and Parmesan cheese or Italian Egg Rolls filled with sausage, roasted red pepper, mozzarella & carmelized onions served with marinara. If you aren't full after these tasty teasers, move on to the main course. I love good steak. J's Filet Mignon and the Gorgonzola Top Sirloin, Baseball Cut are my very favorites. Always done to perfection, the chef knows what they are doing! I would love to try the Lamb Shank on my next visit, but I haven't eaten my share of J's steak fare yet. The menu is nicely balanced with something delicious for everyone. The servers are very attentive and check up on your table to make sure your dining experience is stress free. A great place to spend time with friends & family!

Amazing find in Northern Nevada! I was absolutely blown away by the quality of food and the amount of food I received here. Despite being more of an upscale restaurant, they were very accommodating for someone who did not have a reservation. They were able to find me a table easily, no wait needed. Everyone was kind and attentive during my time there. I ordered the calamari Parmesan, not knowing how it would taste. The mix between a chicken Parmesan-sort of flavor and the chewiness and texture of calamari really blend well together with this dish. I found myself really loving everything about it. On top of that, the portion size was incredibly large. I never have leftovers, but here, I had a bit of the dish left to take home and enjoy for the next day. Parking might be a little hard to come by, so I would prepare to street park if their lot is full.

Js is an elegant yet laid back restaurant staffed by a friendly and caring staff. Bonus: Chris is back behind the bar on Sundays! YaY! To drink, I had the drink of the week: The Eggnog Espresso Martini. This was surprisingly delicious! I'm not a fan of eggnog, but this drink brought a new side to eggnog for me. This drink had a balance of creamy, chocolate, and coffee with a hint of holiday warmth. For an appetizer, we had the oysters on special. These were fresh and the chimichurri sauce complemented them nicely, but in my opinion was not necessary. I did find that the chef didn't loosen any of the oysters away from their shells which was an annoyance, but didn't take away from the overall taste. For our mains, we had the salmon pasta special and the pork special. The pork was beautifully cooked and the Jack Daniels sauce elevated not only the bone in pork chop, but brought the mashed potatoes it was served with to the next level. The salmon pasta was one note, bland, and not what we expected. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly. The dish was described as "rigatoni with house smoked salmon tossed in a lemon, dill, spinach and ricotta cream sauce" but there was no hints of lemon, dill, ricotta or spinach. Both main courses came with a choice of soup or salad. We did one house salad and one soup of the day. The salad was fresh and refreshing. The soup of the day was a salmon corn cajun chowder. This soup was hearty and had beautiful depth of flavor. It also had just enough heat to make any tolerance happy. This visit had a few more hiccups than we are accustomed to when eating at J's, but we still look forward to our next meal here.

This is a very quaint spot. Quiet relaxing atmosphere. Loved their staff. Very fun and friendly The appetizers were so tasty. Great spot to get out of the heat

First time visiting this quaint bistro. I enjoyed the fried Brussels sprouts and pizza the most. The bar tender was kind and attentive. I ordered a margarita on the rocks. Good portion size didn't get a picture. Definitely will be back to venture through the regular menu and drinks they have to offer. Looked like inside outside seating and individual booths were available.
